With spring just around the corner, that means our office is about to get real busy with allergy patients coming in. We are the leading dry eye and allergy care eye doctors in the area so there is a lot to consider when talking treatment for your seasonal allergies. We first have to talk about symptoms and differentiate between allergies versus dry eyes. Both manifest in very similar ways, but for purposes of this particular post we will be discussing allergy symptoms only.

There are different tests we do in the comprehensive eye exam to make sure that we pinpoint an exact diagnosis. We won't bore you with the scientific name, but from this "allergy" diagnosis we can then determine if an over the counter drop or anti-histamine will suffice or if you need something stronger that requires an actual prescription for your local pharmacy. ANTI-BACTERIAL ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING BY VSP

If you've spent time at Dr. Bladh's office, you know what anti-reflective (A/R) coating is and does. Back in the early days of optometry, A/R coating was primarily used to get rid of glare when taking pictures and get a clearer view of the world through your lenses. Both solid reasons to commit to adding this product onto your glasses, but there were some flaws. VSP EXTENDS PRIMARY EYECARE BENEFIT TO VSP MEMBERS

Vision Service Plan (VSP) members already have the backing of one of the strongest vision insurance companies in the United States. There are several plans that VSP offers, but one that gets unnoticed the most is their Primary EyeCare plan.
